We have to apologize that we made a major mistake in calculating your final
grades for JPN
201. The grades which you have received were given without taking your final
exam scores
into the calculations. Because of this mistake, most of you have received better
grades than
what you should have received (although for some of you, it did not make any
change or
made your grades better.) We are recalculating your grades now, but it might be
taking a few
weeks before officially posting your correct grades because we would like to
make sure that
we do not make any mistakes again. We will let you know as soon as we finish
recalculating
your grades and post them. We are deeply sorry if this would cause you any
inconvenience.

I’m more confused how you could forget something as important like the final exam grade when calculating the final grade. Maybe that useless attendance grade, but the final exam grade? That takes some special work.
