To Sell Out, All One Must Do is Simply Go to College

Today would be the second day in a row that I’ve recieved some shit trash mail from Capital One that goes along the lines of “OH HOLY SHIT LOOK AT THIS A CREDIT CARD THAT COULD BE YOURS.” I’m sure if they tried hard enough, I’ll probably find another one in the mailbox on Monday.
I’ve delt with this for about the past year. I just go and tear each one up and move on. Sometimes I’ll just hack away with the scissors. Maybe I’ll start collecting them and burn them as one big pile.
It’s only until now that I’ve reflected on these papers that choke the mail system.
I can only come to one conclusion:
This is why I hated filling out all the paperwork for college.
I didn’t like filling out any of the paperwork, becuase I knew that this information I was giving to them, the government, the school, my father’s union, my third-party loan company (because you will always need another loan,) one or all of them would just turn around and hand off my information to everyone who wanted it.
I’m used to this practice, I’ve used Hotmail and the internet, and it happens all the time.
Real-life just doesn’t have auto-learning filters for your mail, though.
I just don’t get how they think they’ll get me to be a customer.
Firstly, I’m unemployed. If everyone would give the right information, they would know that I can’t afford, and probably don’t have the desire to have, a credit card.
Secondly, annoying the piss out of me with your fucking mail isn’t going to help, because all that’s being done by the mail pestering is to create a knee-jerk reaction of instantly destroying the recieved mail. It’s bad enough thier “WHAT’S IN UR WALLET” ads on TV and everywhere else annoys the piss out of me.
I’ll never trust a credit company that targets college students. They’re vultures. They know we can’t afford it and they want to only help fuck up our credit standing prematurely.
I’m glad to know that companies certainly don’t know how to make customers.
It’s good to know they care.

I got some mail today from Albany! I thought I was gonna throw it out, but I wasn’t expecting comedy gold.
First two lines make it worth it, and I’m hanging this shit up:
“Your state government belongs to you. You deserve to know that your hard-earned tax dollars are being spent wisely.”
It’s good to know that my whole, whopping, 0 tax dollars are being spent with the utmost of care!
