On the Set: Allied Fleets Part 4 (Part 1 of 2)

Today, I had an experience. The defining moment of my summer.
I helped in the filming of the footage portion of The Allied Fleets Part 4.
The Allied Fleets is a miniseries some friends of my brother has been working on since high school. It is very low budget, with the camera being the most expensive thing there, and I assume Lego costs might have been good for the first three episodes (they’re moving to CGI for the fourth installment.)
Basically, the premise is that we have the Allied Fleets against the Paklets in war. The Paklets are essentially space retards with amazing battle strategy with “Anomaly Technology,” which allows them to use large amounts of power will litle fuel consumption. But why am I describing this, WATCH IT ALREADY. IT HAS LEGO DESTRUCTION.
Now onto Part 4 “behind the scenes” details.
We stopped over at a friend’s house to do the filming for the “game show” intermission of “We Got Yo’ Shit,” mocking mostly “The Price is Right” and any other game show, where the contestant had to win back his stuff. Of course, it wouldn’t be right for the contestant to win his stuff back, and it all got smashed to bits. All that remained when we were done was a pile of very well destroyed silicon boards, metal, electronic components and plastic.
Also, Xboxes do take quite the beating, but not after a few hits with a sledgehammer and axes.
We then moved on to filming “central,” where most of the filming occurs. We worked on various commercials that will appear in the video, such as “Office Enforcer,” “Fleets Home Shopping” and “Brand Lames.” Obviously much destruction occurred. And so did much complaining because the neighbors apparently only had a CD with three songs. And all of them sucked. Especially “Baby Got Back” when played 25 times.
I also learned that “Apple Quality” means means shit when encountered with a sledgehammer. I mean, I was I disappointed.
Oh well, I should sleep, because I’ve got more filming to do later today. Can’t wait to see the final thing.
